Guest guest
Dear Florida Autism Advocate, Rep. just offered an amendment to drop the benefit to $8000… we need people from his district to jam his phone lines and let him know exactly how they feel about that maneuver. American Academy of Pediatrics is recommending 25 hrs of intense intervention and therapy a week. Therapies range between $50 and $175 per hour. Several studies have shown that as many as 47 percent of the children that undergo early intensive behavioral therapies achieve higher education placement and increased IQ levels. Why do we allow insurances to keep denying us such odds? The amount he is proposing will cover about one hour of therapy a week. Why do they keep refusing to appropriately help our children? Everyone needs to call Representative , tell him that $8000 is not enough. Those from his district must call him and let him know that this would not help the children in his district, or those in the state. Let him know that services for our children are being cut from all the state agencies due to budget cuts Rep. - CALL HIM NOW! CALL HIM TODAY! CALL! Call! Call! Carmen L.
