Guest guest
I've been on a " Don't buy if made in China " kick for a year or so. . . it's HARD, and I don't succeed always, but I have " put back " many things I was about to buy, because of the " Made in China " label. Now, I need to work harder on " Made in America. " The ABC Evening News has a very interesting special this week. First, they went thru a couple's home and removed all items that were NOT " made in America. " The house got CLEANED out, except for a small flower vase. Beds, couches, table, dishes, silverware, sink, bedding, etc. . . it all went. Then, they've gone finding " Made in America " products to replace what was pulled. Tomorrow, they " deliver " the goods. Anyway, I encourage you all to watch it. If we all insisted on buying products made in America, it could create millions of new jobs and boost our economy. Not food related, but it IS " job " (including dietetics jobs) related. Jan Patenaude, RD, CLT Director of Medical Nutrition Signet Diagnostic Corp.
