Guest guest
Does anyone know about the rhogam shot that pregnant women have to take if they have negitive blood? Just wondered if anyone knew anything about it. I had to take it during my first pregnancy and will have to take it here in about a month. I am due in Sept. I think that is the name of the shot. Guest guest
No, I didn't have the shot, but I have sure read often about an increase in children who got autism when the shot was given. I recommend web-browsing to learn more about it. Mercury is bad no matter where it comes from. ((Some here use zeolite but it is not a " metal chelator " as they proclaim it to be. It may show some improvments based upon the fact that its volcanic ash..aka charcoal and absorbs some gut pathogens, providing some improvements. But its the consensus here that you if you really want to treat them for heavy metal, you have to use a chelator. Either dmsa or ala or both. Both are available without a prescription. It's not to say you shouldn't try zeolite, just that it's expensive and won't recover them from metals. Omegas are good. Cod liver oil (nordic naturals) would be good also. There are many supplements listed in the files that will help your children and would be part of chelation. I have been treating my son for a year..on my own. And we are doing great!! Guest guest
From my understanding, they last (allegedly) manufactured the Rhogam shot containing thimerosol in April, 2002. I got my shot in July, but due to lengthy expiration dates, etc. it would be more likely than not that mine contained the ingredient (I do not believe they did a recall of existing lots, they only supposedly ceased adding thimerosol as an ingredient in 4/02.) I have the card they gave me w/ the lot number information on the card and everything, but so far I've been unable to locate any information or find guidance on how to determine specifically when the lot from which the shot I was given was produced. Its very frustrating. > > > > > > > Hi there, > > > > > > > > I'm new to this discussion group, and wanted to find out if anyone > > > > here received a Rhogam shot when they were pregnant. Guest guest
Thanks for the info. The whole chelation idea is new to me (from the standpoint of removing heavy metals) and I definitely want to try it (I just was scared to since I don't have any physician guidance....i.e., I didn't want to cause any more problems.) I am unfamiliar at this point w/ dmsa and ala, but will do some research. Any recommendations as to a preferred place to buy these chelators from? I'd rather use a source I know others have found to be trustworthy and beneficial. Thanks, again! > ((Some here use zeolite but it is not a " metal chelator " as they > proclaim it to be. Then I got PG with NT child #1 and had 1 at 16 weeks and again after she was born as she is Rh+, and then again when I got PG with ASD child #2. PLUS I was talked into having a flu shot with both pg's at my OB's recomendation. Poor baby #2 never had a chance at NOT being toxic. As for chelation, we have been doing the magnetic clay baths, an all natural method of chelation. You can find them at http://clayforautism.com/ and we also use the Bio-Chelate in conjunction with that.
Guest guest
In the past 6 months or so, there was a super rhogam post on EOHarm group. The danger is *not* only in the mercury. Having the rhogam injection (even mercury-free) *during pregnancy* is hazardous to the baby. You can search EOHarm archives for this info. > > Thanks for the info. Guest guest
Wow, I never knew they'd give someone the shot that many times!! When they wanted to give it to me, I asked if it was absolutely necessary and was told yes, that my babies (twins) could die if I didn't take the shot. So of course, they being the medical professionals and me being a first-time parent, I said okay. Years later I was told that they could have given me the shot AFTER pregnancy (because the current pregnancy isn't affected by the RH difference, only subsequent pregnancies) and then I'd have been fine. Have you noticed any positive changes since doing the clay baths and biochelate? I wasn't sure if the clay baths would really help, since my suspicion is that the mercury in my son is in the brain. However, it seems from what I have read that the biochelate is supposed to work on metals bound to the brain (though I'm not clear yet if that specifically applies to mercury.) > > > > > > Any insight re: the rhogam shot and/or zeolite experiences would be > > received gratefully. Guest guest
I remember doing extensive research on Rhogam with #2 who is coincidentally NT. I had numerous RH shots and put up a big stink abou them, until like someone else, I got the batch # that said they were thimerisol free. I was in a car accident my 9th month and had 2 then, plus one at 27 weeks, plus another right before my c-section, and one after delivery and one for the baby because we were not a match. This was 2004..could the expiration date extend that far? Guest guest
For a while there was one brand that was thimerosal-free and others which still had mercury in them. During that time one had to specifically request the thimerosal-free version. S S Re: Rhogam Shot Posted by: " Knall " sknall@... slknall Wed Sep 26, 2007 2:32 pm (PST) See, now this is interesting to me because there was just something out on Unlocking Autism from earlier this year about Rhogam shots and how mercury was allegedly taken out of them after 2000. Very curious. _______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web! Guest guest
I had the rho-gam shot in late 2003 - I'm in Australia and I think we're a bit further behind than the US, not sure if mercury was pulled from the shots then or not or if we'd have used up the mercury shelf stock by then..wish there was a way to find out..HEY, what the heck, why don't we lobby the government to inform expectant mothers, mothers, of what our doctors are injecting into our/childrens veins...mercury, aluminium, antifreeze, methanol, borax, MSG, animal organ tissue and blood, aborted human foetal tissue, latex, animal viruses, human viruses, genetically modified yeast, foreign DNA to name a few..My son had a very bad reaction to the chickenpox vaccine at 12 months and actually got chickenpox from the chickenpox vaccine. This is not supposed to happen...his doctor didn't say to me 'hey, don't worry if he gets chickenpox from this shot, he'll only get a bad case of autism'. Here in Australia the government doesn't give a damn about autism, hardly any funding for special education, no one's heard of Dan doctors, I had to go to a naturopath who wasn't even aware of chelation with ALA...The autism treatment group and here in Australia chelatingkidsaustralia have been my only way of helping my son get better with ALA chelation..It has been wonderful talking to mums/dads who know what no medical practitioner will ever know...2 months ago I was still in the process of asking heaps of questions about supps, chelation, yeast protocols online and was scared to death that it wouldn't work for my son..I had no need to worry as I feel Cameron has come in leaps and bounds since starting ALA alone and he has only just finished round 4. Thankyou so much everyone, especially the moderator for letting me join such a wonderful group. Guest guest
I got the rhogam shot also. My son was born in 2002. We had a natural child birth & he had good APGAR scores, but had feeding problems before we even left the hospital (got the first vax there too) & his issues only got increasingly worse as time went on & he got more vaccinations. I also got the flu shot while I was pregnant because I was told I would lose my baby if I got the flu. I also had an incident of pre-term labor contractions early on in the pregnancy & received brethene (sp?) via IV. I don't know about the zeolite other than the little bit I have read on the web. It sounds interesting though. I really do believe that there is a connection between the rhogam shot, etc. & my son being ASD.
