Guest guest
Sorry for taking so long to update on . She had a rough weekend. She thought she was getting a migraine on Saturday morn. So, her hubby took her to the local ER. They gave her a shot and sent her home. She said that they had no clue what Chiari was. That evening, it didn't let up at all. She was vomiting severely, so her hubby called Park Ridge Hospital (where she had Chiari surgery). They paged Rosner and within the next minute, Rosner called 's home. He told 's hubby to get her back to the ER and have the doc there call him. (Rosner gave them his home number.) She arrived back in the ER. Rosner instructed them to keep overnight, give her fluids and steroids. They kept her overnight. By Sunday, the pain was almost gone, so she went home. Rosner told 's hubby that she had swelling from her surgery and this was not a migraine. He knew right off what to do, and he responded very quickly. Rosner told 's hubby to call him FIRST if anything else like that happens again. is still in quite a bit of pain. She hasn't gotten to the point of being able to get up and make her a sandwich or anything like that yet. Her daughter, who is 9, is able to help her out some during the day since she is out of school for the summer. If you would like to send a card to her home, email me at schnauzer@... and I will send her address to you. I'll try to continue to keep everyone posted. in NC
