When should a patient ask their MD for a referral to a RD the Medical Nutrition Specialist? Need your advice:)

Need your help:) I am writing an articles for National Nutrition month

and RD Day! I would like to know what you would advise ill Americans

to ask their MDs, PAs, Nurse Practitioners, hospitals, nursing homes,

assisted living center CNAs that they need to get a referral to a RD.

I would give you credit for your suggestions and your contact info if

you give me permission to do so. I would let you review your quote

before I publish it to the public. You may also give examples of the

patients that have been helped by your Medical Nutrition Care! You may

choose to remain anonymous and of course, I do not want any patient

names or locations to maintain the patient's confidentiality. Who and

why are MDs referring too you now? How many referrals do you get each

month? Who is giving you referrals?
