Guest guest
That is ringing a bell.... way back then my doc tried to put me on generic and I got even sicker on that... so we went back to $ynthroid... I still got sick, but not as bad... then we found that it was the level of med at a dose that was doing it and it went to 3 doses a day instead of 1.... *whew* so I did hear about it... just made an incorrect choice, based on incorrect info... that doc also kept telling me the synthetic was more consistent than natural and so we never tried it... I betcha I wouldn't have gotten as sick on Armour! Guest guest
No, that is correct. They were claiming that there were no other drugs, generic or otherwise, that could compare with Synthroid's stability and consistency. -- Re: Re: Fwd: I am wondering.....??? Guest guest
Nor did I - although they said they did LOTs of advertising about it. I did a quick read on some of the articles I found on a yahoo search using " class action synthroid " . I am interested in finding out what the unethical thing they did when they first brought Synthroid to market in the 60s. Can anyone elaborate? Guest guest
Yes they did...they lied through their teeth, paid docs kick backs to prescribe it and everything else. The only drug used before synthroid was Armour and it was doing a wonderful job. The maker os SIN-throid knew that and did whatever they could do to get their name known. I've known many women personally that were on the Armour and their docs told them " This SIN-throid is the " Cadillac of the thyroid drugs " and I am going to switch you to that " Within a month all of these women were begging their docs to put them back on Armour. By that time the docs already had been brain washed into thinking Armour had potency problems etc....You'd think that would have stopped sin-throid dead in it's tracks right??? Well I guess our medical profession really is as stupid as we think they are. I thank God daily for the docs that aren't proud, are humble enough to listen to the patient, care enough to want them to feel their best. THANK YOU to all you great docs!! Guest guest
The class action was started over the pricing of Synthroid. Guest guest
Hi, , Both my husband and I were parties to the class action suit re: Synthroid and both received checks for $106.49 just about Christmas. I was quite surprised to get anything, as the typical approach is to offer to pay and have the attorneys eat up the " settlement fund " with legal ploys to delay the payout -- all on billable hours -- until the funds available are wiped out. I am thankful, but will end up using that money to pay for my Armour Thyroid. That will pay quite a few co-payments for me. Hubby is no longer taking anything. His was some sort of transient problem....
