Jamy, here is my numbers:

Interesting that my renin is much higher than yours, but my aldosterone is a lot

lower.

Renin - 117 70-330 Aldosterone <1.0 7-30

To All:

After reviewing 3 different charts, it appears that my total intake

was cut by 3/4 grain of Armour. The endo himself told me after the first test,

before any changes that my thyroids looked pretty good. After 3 hours of

shivering, 1 hour of crying, 2 hours to feed myself, 2 more hours of looking at

numbers with total brain fog, a hot bath, I crippled upstairs and sent my endo

an email: Part of it follows:

I also want you to know that I am worse than when I started seeing

you. I can only surmise that it is do to the med changes. I am freezing cold,

with shivers (temp 96.7) no appetite, crying-more depressed, severe joint and

muscle pain, and constipation. Before I saw you, I was more active, getting out

of the house for short errands, a beach walk, etc. I no longer feel the energy

to do this. My gut is telling me that I am not and was not getting enough

thyroid into my cells.

My current dosage is 30mg Armour 2xdaily and 50mcg Levoxyl. I have

been at this level for since Nov. 22.

I feel like I am again begging for a doctor to listen to me and at

least let me try what my gut instincts are telling me. I am about to the end of

my rope.

Yeah, your looks mid range. Like I said the only thing I notice on the Florinef

is the smell of my urine not as strong. Did you say you are not taking any?

blood. That was 4 with a range of 6-44

endo's or MD's without getting better. I have not been well since RAI and

Synthroid.(Early 90's) Finally, got Armour. I needed a new doctor and thought

his credentials looked good as far as overall hormone health I really did not

think I would end up with all these dx.

I have to say the Armour helps some, but it has not been the great thing for me

that everyone said it would be. hat was when I looked him up. That and the fact

that even taking iron my ferritin was 20 and the DR I was seeing said that was

good enough.

Yep your doc reeks. He doesn't understand. Try and get info from this site an

print it out. Like how our TSH needs to be at it's lowest...our T3 needs to be

high etc.... Try and persuade him. If you can't you may have to medicate

yourself, or find a good doc. I am routing for you hun!! Take charge and make

yourself well.

PS..What state are you in? I can possibly find you a doc that will do better by

you in your state and a support group within your state that will be a wealth of

info. My state has a great support group and I " ve learned so much and been

steered into the right direction on many occassions. THis site also is a

wonderful place to come to learn.

problem. My ferritin is 20. Instead of the ferrous sulfate pills, go to the

health food store and get a liquid called Floradix plus minerals. Take 3x a day.

You will feel a BIG difference in how you feel.

I will get the Floridix. I currently take Mag Oxide (Colosan), 6 fish oil daily,

have tried herbals, prunes, etc. to no avail. This constipation is a major issue

for me. My hubby and take 1 magnesium and get big action, I take 4-6 and nothing

happens?????

Hi Frannie, I just thought I would give you a different avenue to look into for

your constipation. I've yet to take anything as good as Shaklee's supplements

for constipation. IF it doesn't help you nothing will. It is called Herb Lax.
