Good Morning - The proposed budget cuts will adversely affect many

people and many businesses. The Coalition for Fair and Comprehensive

Tax Reform, and the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council, have

initiated an on-line petition (see below) in response to these

devastating cuts. Please sign the petition, encourage your members to

sign it, and forward this message to anyone else who believes in

equity and fairness. Next week we will take the petitions ( we have

collected over 800 signatures to date) to lawmakers and urge them to

consider the wishes of all Floridians when balancing the budget.

A large group of Floridians, including business owners, educators,

health care providers, service providers, persons with disabilities

and their families, and senior citizens are calling on Florida's

lawmakers to balance the budget by doing away with many of the tax

breaks and loopholes that allow special interest groups and big

corporations to skirt their tax responsibilities. By examining these

tax exemptions, lawmakers could put billions of dollars back in the

budget and stop the cuts to our public schools, our health care

system, and other vital social programs. Florida is in a revenue
