Dear  Dee,    The statement " antidepressants alter brain chemistry and now the body can't handle synthetically prepared vitamins, medicines; that it will throw one into a state of psychosis " is inaccurate.  Remember, what happens for people is they listen to anyone who says they got relief from something then they go ahead and try it themselves.  You know from being here a while that one of the things I most address is individualized supplement protocols.  The main reason I began this group was because I was tired of people coming to me AFTER they acted on what anybody said and harmed themselves even more.   What works for " " will not necessarily work for " Fred " , " Louie " and " " .  It could be harmful to them.

Let's get the full lab results (ask for a copy) and then lets take it from there.

In the meantime, get some Extra Virgin Coconut Oil in bulk not caps (better than any D3 supplement)  and some Gillham's or NOW powdered magnesium and begin taking them.  Do not take separate calcium.

Regards,

The doctor told me my TSH is 6.45 and wants me to start Synthyroid right way. My Vitamin D level is 16 and the doctor said it should around 30.

Arterial plaque; I have a high number (can't remember it, but it was like 200 points over).

I didn't have any of these problems before taking Effexor (antidepressant)!  I just called the doctor's office too to get a copy of all my lab results so I can give you the specific numbers.

I want to take the necessary steps to correct or improve my health, but I have a worry.  Reading on varies groups about getting off of antidepressants a concern had been raised about taking *anything* that has been processed chemically (perhaps meaning synthecially??).  They say antidepressants alter brain chemistry and now the body can't handle synthetically prepared vitamins, medicines; that it will throw one into a state of psychosis!  I need to know the truth about this before proceeding with any hormone therapy or vitamins.

Thank you,

Dee
