Guest guest
Thank you, , Can you tell me how longer you would wait, to increase again, & by how much, as I'm taking .5mgs [Klonopin] tablets & dosing 2x/day.Only had one dose, this a.m. I've been a little tired today, but also had some anxiety. Only took 1 dose so far. Is it possible to become " symptom free " , and hold that for a few months before beginning a new taper. I feel I need a rest after all the wrong tapering with the valium. I'm trying to learn the RIGHT way to do this? Would I use liquid Klonopin to start another taper? Thank you so much for your assistance & reply. I appreciate it so very much. Aryana>> ** Aryana, I wouldn't wait longer than 2 days to increase again. But I'm confused. I thought you originally said you were given 2,0 mg. Yet here you're saying 0.5 mg 2x a day which equals 1.0 mg. I would not hold off on dosing right now. There's no way 1 mg. of Klonopin will help when 30 mg of VAlium didn't (unless it's a real freak thing). You will only feel good if you take enough to feel good. I would not wait months. I'd wait 2 weeks of feeling okay then I'd begin reductions. I rarely recommend liquid to people. It s very costly. It is mostly helpful when you get down to very low doses. -- C > > Hi , > > The 30 mgs of Valium did not help, & that was the highest dose I was on , when I crossed over, from the 1.5mgs K. So, my doctor just put me back on 2mgs Klonopin, in hopes of stabilizing me, and feeling normal. I'm hoping I can function again, and in a few months do a very slow K taper by titrating or using liquid K or something. What do you recommend? Thanks so much. The only thing s you may find that just like before, the 2 mg is not enough for you. I'd increase it temporarily if necessary in order to get steady to begin careful reductions. > > --C >
Guest guest
Hi , Sorry for the confusion. My doctor put me on 2 mgs. I have .05mgs tablets, & take 2 in the a.m. and 2 in the pm. , so it's 2mgs/day. This morning he wrote & asked me to lower it to only 1.5mgs/day, as the Ashton manual says that 1.5mgk +30 mgs V, which is what I was taking. I emailed back saying I was tyring to updose, so that I can get stable. I will continue at 2mgs day, today. I guess my question is, how can you cut the K tablets equally to make such small reductions--less than 5%. Thanks so much.
