India CCM invites registrations for Civil Society & Private Foundation constituencies

Dear All:

The India Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) for the Global Fund to Fight

AIDS, TB and Malaria invites Civil Society Organizations and Private Foundations

to register themselves as part of the Civil Society and Private Foundation

Constituencies for the India CCM.

Prospective Civil Society Constituency members (including Faith Based

Organizations) should be organizations registered in India with a track record

of working in one or more of the following areas:

HIV / AIDS, TB, Malaria, Child Development /Rights and Gender Issues.

Prospective Private Foundation Constituency members should be registered

organizations operating in India with a track record of working in one or more

of the following areas: HIV / AIDS, TB, Malaria

This process of registration will be open for a period of 2 weeks, from the 31st

of August 2006 till the 10th of September 2006.

As part of the registration process, the following documents in PDF format only

will need to be uploaded for verification, and completion of the registration

process:

A: Registration Certificate and

B: One Page Background on Activities of the Organization.

Attention: Registered members of the Civil Society and Private Foundation

Constituencies can represent their constituency in the India CCM, provided they

meet additional criteria set out by the India CCM. These criteria are available

online in the registration form itself.

Registering entities should indicate whether they are interested in

representing their respective constituencies on the CCM. If so indicated, then

additional details will need to be filled in online, and 4 more documents will

need to be uploaded (all in PDF Formats only). Details of the Documents required

are on the online registration form. Clicking on the check boxes will open up

further sections of the registration form.

After the period of registration, a polling process will be announced to elect

the representatives of the respective constituencies. Only registered Civil

Society and Private Foundation members will be eligible to vote in this process.
