Guest guest
Hello all! It is our belief that my son has a neuropathy throughout his body. In fact, it appears that this neuropathy affects his reflexes (absent), his optic nerves and his hearing. We don't know if the neuropathy is due to a mito disorder or from his MMR vaccine, which corresponds to when the neuropathy developed. At any rate, does anyone know what can be done to treat this? I have heard about steroids being used. How long does a child need to be on steroid treatment before the neuropathy improves? Is this a life-long therapy or short term? My son's neuropathy does not appear to be progressive, so I am hopeful that there is some treatment out there for him. Thanks,

I used to be hypo, Bs 60 most of the time). Now since working on Robbie's Bs I'm running between 85 and 120 but the doctor said that my A1c that he did was very low. Didn't really say what it was though. That's why I asked if anyone knew if you could have neuropathy without being a diabetic. I must say that thanks to the help from this group, since Robbie helped me to get set up on my computer so I could get into the group instead of his relaying the messages, I've gotten a better handle on his Bs. In fact for the last couple of days he has had several normal readings and even dipped low once (64). Thanks again, >
