I am not in the Louisville area but I am a schnauzer mom of 2 awesome minis,

Toby and . I saw the word SCHNAUZER and went nuts! :-)

I am really sorry that you are going through crap with your rheumy's office. I

have not gotten to that point yet however I am having to dive nearly 2 hours to

one on my insurance.

Best of luck to you!

[ ] RE: Biting off your nose

Well I royally bit off my nose to spite my face today. The billing manager

for my rheumatologist called me and left a message for me to call her back,

(I don't like her too much) so I called her back and she informed me that

for my treatment tomorrow I would need to pay my $1000.00 deductible up

front, then of course my 20% of the remainder which would be 340.00 dollars.

I asked her if there was any way possible that I could pay 500.00, then

500.00 next Friday, then pay off the balance the next week. She said No, we

are no longer taking payments like that, if you can't pay your portion at

the time of service, then you will need to reschedule, well I got teed off,

so I said just cancel it. I am trying real hard not to hit savings as I hit

it really hard last summer for health insurance payments (before I started

back to work) and of course I had to pay off my car, and it was just a rough

year. I don't want to drain it. So I just said cancel the appt, but I want

to see the Dr. at 2:30. I have had it with those people. It is not like they

are not going to get paid. I paid them over 3500.00 dollars last year. Are

they doing this to little old ladies on medicare? What is this world coming

too? Sorry, just had to vent. I know I am going to be in pain, can't take

MTX any longer, no steroids because of neurological problems and she is

worse than a loan shark. Bill got into it with her in December over a letter

the office sent out stating that payment must be made in full before

treatment would be given. Oh well say your prayers for me. I think I should

start looking for a new Doctor. Anyone recommend anyone in the Louisville

area?

I am so sorry for the pain you are in mentally, physically as well as

financially. After 6 years mine no longer accepts my insurance -- pay full

price each visit. I think I have to also look for new one.
