My dosage is so low now that it is impossible to get the same amount every day. My pharmacist says that when I titrate down from 25 mg. to 3 mg. I could by off by 10% This is more than the 1% to 5% you recommend for decrease, so I could be in withdrawal by accident. I am not in withdrawal every day. For example, I have been feeling fine the past 3 days, the day prior to that was difficult ( lots of itch and insomnia). I have increased my dosage to 6 mg., but the results were not good----lots of itching (but no insomnia). This is because I have a sensitivity to Lyrica which I developed after several weeks (The same thing happened with Tramadol and Hydorcodone.) There is NO dosage at which I feel totally comfortable all the time. The best I have had is my currant 3 mg. where I feel pretty good most of the time, with a few bad days, now and then. Should I continue to reduce from 3mg, even though I know I will be in withdrawal some of the time? Or, should I just quit cold turkey?>> ** Never ever ever go cold turkey unless you are having a serious adverse reaction where remaining on the drug is imminently dangerous to you. Bottom line -- the pharmacist can't see the forest for the trees. Just titrate your own dose as accurately as you can and it will work out fine just as it has for the hundreds here who have done it this way. I would not move on decreasing as long as I'm in withdrawal every few days. If you wait it out this will pass. Try keeping busy. What happens for many is that they hyperfocus on themselves and notice every sensation they have. This magnifies what they feel. Also, physical activity like walking and bike riding help strengthen your system and hasten recovery. Dancing and laughing are good, too. Laughing is actually physiologically good for people. I would not ignore what I'm feeling and drop the dose even more for the reasons I previously stated. Final note--you are paying attention to what your body is telling you about these drugs, right?
