Guest guest
I started taking Paxil when I was 23 years old, and have been on it for the majority of the past 10 years. Dosage for past few years has been 10 mg. I did what I thought was a slow taper in Oct/Nov, and went through some emotional withdrawal symptoms. I have been doing yoga/meditation for past 10 years --- it feels like several months ago I noticed that I could not experience the same level of bliss/energy in spaces where I had before (temples or other places of worship). Could this part also be related to paxil withdrawal? For past couple months I have been experiencing tingling or sometimes burning sensations initially throughout my body but more lately mostly on my face, and tingling in my tongue. Sometimes it feels like there is a spider creating a web. It happens throughout the day, and seems to be worse when I am meditating or in a meditative atmosphere. It's less noticeable when I am too busy doing something that I don't have time to think about it. Also past couple days sometimes notice one of my eye twitches from behind. I am willing to do whatever it takes to get rid of these w/d symptoms. Would I benefit from going back on the medicine to try and retaper more slowly along with supplements? Will these symptoms go away if I go back on the med since it has been 6 months? Do you think I will recover fully if I just move forward and use supplementation/diet? Am not taking any meds right now, but am supplementing for past few days with: Carlson's Fish Oil (one teaspoon twice a day) Vitamin C (1000 mg, twice a day) S Formula (basically B complex with minerals not including zinc or manganese) Iron (2 capsules) Garden of Life Probiotic (1 capsule twice a day) Also started a mostly raw fruit/veg/nut diet a couple days ago. Grateful to have found this group. Would be so grateful for help, thank you very much and take care, Amisha
