Sorry for the misunderstanding. An ABA center in the Kendall area is looking for an ABA therapist.

Janet, I think you should read the email before yours from Tina. You want to make it very clear on the IEP what exactly the child is receiving. If he is approved for 30 minutes, that is what he should receive. And if that is not what he is going to receive, that is, he is going to receive a fraction of 30 minutes, they have to state it that way. Even though I can give them well deserved sarcasm, when dealing with them, you have to follow the rules. I am wondering if anyone has experience with doing a “State Complaint”.

The language simply states that they will receive X amount of therapy, and purposely do not mention the setting that therapy will be received in. I am trying to pull together appropriate language for her IEP meeting in 2 days. I'm so tired of being bullied down and pushed around by these folks. Incidentally, I'm in the Miami-Dade School system, and not Broward, but its the same old story. I'm so angry with these people I could scream.Janet, Miami> >> > I am helping my neice's son who is 3 years old and in a Place > Program > > for a developmental delay who has a serious speech/language delay. > > After the school's evaluation for speech and not articulation, > they > > have decided to help the child by putting him in a cluster of six > > children and give him Speech for 1/2 an hour, twice per week.
