Guest guest
Even when I was at the height of my medication I was still slow to bruise. Right now I am just on pred. and Lodine. At the height of things I was on 20mg MTX, Arava, Percocet, Didronel, DayPro, and trazadone to help me sleep. If I get a bruise it is quite obvious where I got it from. My husband, however, if the wind blows he seems to get a bruise. He has always been this way. Shandi --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
lisreg, I look like someone has beat the tar outta me. I asked my Dr about it Thurs. when I saw him. He said that it is real common with Fibro. I also am on Plavix and 1 aspirin a day that also figures into the picture. If mt hubby pats my arm too hard I get a bruise. I got a manicure the other day and my hands have bruises on them. Just another lovely symptom of Fibro, RA are any of the other auto-immune diseases. Guest guest
I bruise easily all over my body now, but the skin on my arms and hands tears VERY easily, only there nowhere else. Does this fit w/other folks experience w/steroids, RA, remicade whatever? Also, I have three patches of skin which are extremely thickened and scaly, one on my scalp, two on my back. I haven't asked a Dr about them--anybody else have a thought on what these are? Thanks to everyone <man_u8@...> wrote: You are not alone. I don't bruise as easily as you do. Guest guest
, You should discuss these issues with your rheumatologist when you see him/her next. We have had many reports of fragile skin from prednisone users here. Also, Remicade has been associated with the development of psoriasis or psoriasis-like lesions. Guest guest
That is the pattern I'm following, tears easily on my arms, hands. Bruise easily elsewhere. I also now have blue skin under my eyes, like two black eyes. My mother followed the same pattern. Both of us were on high dose steroids, mom had SLE wasn't on Remicade.
