Hi ,

Thanks for responding. But here is what you said to me last year. It was 10

days (not 7 to 10 - I misspoke)

** The best way off this drug -- FOR YOU [everyone else please note this id for

Pam only. My response is based upon the information I gathered about Pam's

particular situation. Your chemistry is not Pam's. Your history is not Pam's.]

>

> The way off with the least amount of disruption to your life is to do a

maximum of 10% reductions. Ten days after the 1st reduction, ask yourself

daily, " Do I feel as well of better than I felt prior to the reduction? "

>

> If the answer is no, it is not time to do the next 10% decrease. Only when you

can say yes is it time for the next decrease. "

Anyway, it went fine for 3 months during the taper. So this reaction after I'm

off is surprising. I'd hate to reinstate, but will if the discomfort continues.

Thanks again, and congratulations on the clinic! Pam>>

***Pam, thank you. The key is the question one asks of one's self. There are

exceptions to every rule, though; nothing is ever 100%.

If it is not an exception, it appears that I was not being mindful of the fact

that the drug was Remeron. This is even more of a possibility if I responded

to this while being ill.

I understand your reluctance to begin the drug again but if you see it as the

opportunity to prevent more harm from happening (as it is), you will understand

and feel relieved that you still can do it. There is approximately a 6 week

window people have in which to do this. After that, the chemistry has been

thrown so far into chaos that it makes it almost impossible to reinstate the

drug.

I'm so afraid of the anxiety and its debilitating symptoms returningAlthough they are horrid sensations, please don't be 'afraid' or fear them, it will only make you feel worse.Hang in there.

<<I'm so afraid of the anxiety and its debilitating symptoms returning>>

**  I meant to address this.  In this scenario you are not " relapsing " , you're in withdrawal.

  • 6 months later...

Hi ,

I'm very low on my dose - .4 ml from a water titration of 30 ml with a 15 mg

crushed Remeron pill. .4 ml is a very small amount in the syringe, but I'm

finding that it seems stronger than the pill cuts that I used to take. My sleep

seems more drugged, and I am waking up more groggy.

Could it be because I'm squirting it in the back of my mouth followed by

drinking water? Is some being directly absorbed to the bloodstream and going to

the brain instead of through the stomach and intestinal track?

Any thoughts? Also, is it time to jump off entirely?

Thanks, Pam>>

** Hi Pam,

I think you're over-thinking it. It sounds to me like it's a great time to cut

your dose in half and then make the final step to discontinuation.
