Yesterday in the budget conference committee the House took up the Senate budget position. Unfortunately, their position was $40 Million less than the House's position. This brings the total cut in APD services to $120 million less than last year's budget. A cut our population and waiting list cannot sustain.

In order to manage their budget, we now see rules proposed by APD that create even more service cuts, service limitations and shifting of current waiver services to ACHA and Medicaid.

We must let the legislative leadership know the hardship, devastating impact, and irreversible damage that these cuts and stringent rules will bring about.

implementation of the tiers and proposed rules that will adversely affect the lives our loved ones with developmental disabilities.
