Guest guest
I had a Hysterscope, HSG and a second DNC done on 11-10. Is it normal routine to have local Anesthesia for these three surgeries. Or is it just mainly for the DNC. i guess I'll be able to ask my doctor when I go on 12-7. At first when i spoke with my doctor before my surgery he didn't even know nothing about the DNC or the HSG I had to remind him that was what he was doing because all he mentioned to the Anesthesiologist was the hysterscopy, then when I brought up the DNC he took my chart in the hall and came back and said your right we are doing the HSG and another DNC if need be. To make sure the uterus was empty from the last DNC in January. I believe the only reason that he wasn't sure what he was doing was because he took my regular doctors cases for that week due to my doctor going on vacation. But all in all this lack of communication thing is ridiculous. If I wouldn't have spoke up he wouldn't have read my chart completely and would have only did the Hysterscopy. I think I need to seek a second opinion. But it is hard to find someone in this area to take me as a new patient without insurance. I cancelled my insurance last year right before I found out I was exspecting because it was too expensive. I called another doctor that I heard was really good here and explained to the nurse on the phone my situation and she told me he charges $235 for the first visit. That is crazy, I don't have that kind of money right now, and probably won't for a while until at least after the holidays. But I really do think these doctors that I have been seeing have way too many patients than they can handle. I don't see how they keep up. Guest guest
I'm due for a hysterosonogram on Dec. 7 and since they put a catheter in your cervix, wouldn't this be painful? Does anyone take anything for this? Or, am I being a wus? Thanks, .
