TIER RULE CHALLENGE

The Advocacy Center for Persons with Disabilities and attorneys from Southern Legal Counsel filed a petition on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, on behalf of four recipients of services through the Developmental Disabilities Waiver. The petition challenges the proposed Tier Rules currently being promulgated by the Agency for Persons with Disabilities. Petitioners filed the rule challenge with the Division of Administrative Hearings. For updates and additional information on the rule challenge please go to the Advocacy Center's website at www.advocacycenter.org. Because of the pending rule challenge, the Advocacy Center is no longer accepting requests for individual legal actions that solely relate to issues involving the current Tier Rule Challenge. This does not impact the regular business of the Advocacy Center and all other calls are welcome, as always.
