I got hung up on the word, “eligible”. You may be eligible for

services but you should receive what the child needs. I believe the Law refers

to it as unique needs. There is nothing unique about everyone getting the same

amount of therapy. Aren’t we talking about a spectrum disorder? Once again it

is a lot easier finding a shoe that fits all.

I am not certain if it varies on a case by case

or not. But when we lived in Broward and my son was

just 2 years old he was diagnosed with autism and

global developmental delays. Through Early Steps he

would have been eligible for 10 hours a week of ABA

only at the facility of their contracted provider.
