<<Does anyone have a recommendation for how much lithium orotate it is safe to take each day?

What lab tests are important to monitor while on this mineral (I have read kidney and thryoid, are there any specific tests and how often)?

Are there any supplements one should take to counter any potential side effects from the orotate?

Thank you for your time and any suggestions.

Amisha>>   **  Hi Amisha,     Safe and effective dosage is different for everyone.  I would monitor kidney, liver, heart and thyroid function. Frequency?  At first, I'd do every 4 mos.  Then I'd go 6 mos. and finally, if all was well, annually.

But first I'd explore if lithium or. was the best course of action for me.  If you had difficulty with the Rx lithium, it is possible to encounter problems with this supplement.

Thank you very much for the feedback on lithium orotate and the recommended tests. There has been some effect thyroid test results seen in the past on lithium carbonate, which is of deep concern. The results seemed to normalize (TSH) when lithium carbonate was stopped. Am looking for a holistic doctor which will help with monitoring the thyroid. How can one determine what dosage is appropriate for oneself? However, have found the lithium orotate seems to help with mania and hallucinations. Am not sure what other more natural options are available outside of the orotate. Would be grateful for any guidance that can be provided. Am looking into the supplements recommended, and wanted to clarify - does

the Total Toddy contain the minerals which are in Mineral Toddy, or should one take both?Am grateful for any advice. Thank you . Amisha
