Guest guest
Does anyone have any recommendations for therapy places in area of Pembroke Pines? My son ,6 years old, is high functioning and gets speech at school. He still talks like a 3 year old but is getting better. His main issue in school is that he has behavioral instincts as to humming or singing or talking to himself during class along with being very hyper. He is very advanced in his academics, like most autistic children, but he can not function in a regular classroom due to these behavior problems. He teacher has expressed to me if we can get that down to a minimum than he would be able to go to a regular classroom without disrupting the other students. His academic level is 2 years advanced but his maturity level is 3 years behind. I want to help him with this. Does anyone have the same problems that can suggest a different type of therapy or ways to help him? I want to get him into more therapy but can't figure out what will be best for him. Thank you
