A note of thought only

I have been on Klonopin for at least 30 years and Xanax before that and

something since I was 18.reason died with one parent. 62 years young, I cold

turkeyed Klonopin, cigarettes and caffeine on Jan 18 2012. Today is 2-4-12. If I

had not looked on the internet, I would have only known what I experienced. In 4

days my body decreased in mass by 1/2, smell returned, hearing came full force,

skin tightened. For a 6 decade female that was a beautiful wonder! The only

withdrawal after 8 days was with my equilibrium which is still at times a

wobble. Yes my GP is aware and reiterated symptoms would diminish within a week

or two weeks. Today I can only say...it is obvious a lifetime of killing ones

being is worse than the time to ride the wobble ship. When you see what the

drugs have done to yourself in living transformation of 4 days.how can one not

have positive thoughts of recovery and a healthy inside and out?

To all my co-plagued.know that you have strength.draw on it! It is worth every

tiny withdrawal. Face them with acceptance and caution to your individual

circumstances. Since I have no clue why I have been on them a lifetime, I can

ONLY see each days maybe as I did life on drugs- meaning we only have each

moment. No one knows their risk or future. Why should I see today any different

going through withdrawal? I did it alone with a supreme Faith and the evidence

of the unseen became SEEN!

** I want to warn everyone that this is an extremely uncommon experience. I

have to be honest. My tendency after so many years of seeing so many people on

these drugs is to expect the crisis of withdrawal to hit soon. If not, I would

tend to believe this is one of the " one in a million " type stories you hear . I

would not use this story as a guide for justifying a cold turkey withdrawal.

Regards,
