Guest guest
Re: Iron Supplement My thyroid was ruined by the Effexor and I am hypothyroid now (my old doc. didn't catch my thyroid was on the blink-this went on for 9+ years!--I can look back at all my old lab sheets and now that I know what to look for since educated myself about the thyroid I can see my old doc. should have addressed it all those years ago. My new doctor ran more than the TSH and found I have hasimotos variety. Was getting my period every two weeks for almost 2 years--9 days in length--4 to 5 of those days very heavy. She said my platelets are messed up too--they are of varying sizes and way too small. I'm thinking that's from the Effexor too. (The iron supplement I originally asked you about is fromt he Vitamin Shoppe.) However, I want to ask if the Solgar Gentle Iron would be the better choice. It is made with iron bisglycinate. I keep reading about not taking synthetically processed vitamins after one has taken ADs, benzos, etc.. and want to make sure the vitamin I choose won't cause reactions.
