Guest guest
That's good to hear Carol, good for you! Love Hi Everyone, I can't say enough about how great all your messages are. I got onto this group after I'd withdrawn from my 5-drug cocktail on my own. I'd taken 5 1/2 months to get off the drugs, with a big bump at the end because I went down too fast (the idea is to taper off very slowly into nothingness...). Well, at the time I joined here I was experiencing brain zaps, nerve pain, etc. I hadn't realized that what I thought was a slow withdrawal was actually fast! Just to say that by following the advice I've been reading here, I am still recovering. My symptoms have slowly abated or even disappeared. Now ten months drug-free, I realize that complete recovery will take a long time. I was on the drugs for almost two years (including the complete cocktail for 15 months). So: you can get better! The secrets I've learned from this forum are good nutrition, supplements, moderate regular exercise, taking it easy, avoiding stress, and a lot of patience. thanks everyone! Guest guest
It has been a while since I have posted. I think it may be more difficult for some than others, but you should be diligent, and strong and want to heal, and you will. It may take more than 7 months, or 7 years, but you will get there. It has been 5 years for me, and I have noticed I have gotten better every year, but have set backs due to life stressors, and other things I don't handle as well post poison.I guess you can liken our journey to blunt force head trama which causes concusion. While we are healing (the brain), we should REST, take total care of our bodies, our minds, no loud noises, no stress, no drama. The more we expose ourselves to that while we are healing, the longer it takes to heal. I pray we all heal.Wishing all strength and love while in the bowels of SSRI recovery hell,TonySent from my iPad my mind is very sharp now again Curtis, thankyou for embracing the journey and continuing to support others doing the same.I love to hear that your mind is sharp again now, I know you will use it wisely too!
