Guest guest
Hello All, Still weaning off Tramadol here and going slow as per suggestions. It has been about 16 days since my last decrease so I would like to take the dose down a bit (by 5 percent as suggested by and ) but I was unable to dissolve the Tramadol tablet (100 mg) ..I think the coating disallows it to dissolve (?) Does anyone have any suggestions around this? I am down to one (100 mg) tablet at noon and one (37.5) tablet at 6pm. Thank you for your help and support! Best Regards, Sheri>> ** Hi Sheri, Try grinding it into a powder using a coffee grinder. Then divide the powder. Your best bet would be a scale as I mentioned in another pot tonight. Guest guest
Hi Sheri, My hat goes off to you! I was addicted to tramadol for a few years and when I decided I needed to stop taking it, I ended up having 3 grand mahl seizures (which I had never had before in my life.) The last one broke my nose and put me out for a while. I finally had to admit myself to a rehab facility for about a week in order to completely stop taking it. I think you are doing the right thing in weaning off of this horrible drug. I don't feel that physicians are warning their patients enough about this drug and people think it is ok because it is nonnarcotic. Well, It is the very same thing as it is classified as a "synthetic opiate." I never got addicted to regular "opiates" but ended up addicted to Tramadol in a bad way. Thank the Lord I am off of this "demon Drug" now. I would love to have this taken off the market. Keep fighting the fight and stay the course and honestly, it wouldn't be a bad idea to join a local NA in your area as it is really helping me. Guest guest
Hello, I was able to get a refill of the 37.5 mg " short-acting " Tramacet in place of the 100mg " extended release " and am able to easily break these in half so that I have started taking two and a half 37.5 mg tablets in the morning and one of these in the evening. I began this decrease a week ago. (so, from 100 to 75mg in the a.m.) For the first few days I was ok so I thought the 25 percent decrease was ok but you guys were right of course... NOW I am experiencing light-headedness and dizzy feeling in the late afternoon and I feel awful in the morning (shaky, irritable, dizzy, sweats). So I'm guessing I will have to up the dosage by another quarter tablet (?) It sucks having to go back up but I don't want to relapse and this is definitely the looming danger just as I was warned by . I despise this drug. Thank you for your support.
