The vast majority of people, even those here, believe that they have a genetic problem with neurotransmitters, specifically serotonin and/or norepinephrine. Those who have experienced psychosis believe the lie that they suffer from too much dopamine. Each and every one of these things is a lie. People protest and say, " But my mother and grandmother and sister had these problems. " This is not a genetic predisposition in the way people (and Big Pharma) wants you to believe. This is genetic only in the sense that it can be attributed to: 1) learned behavior. We learn what is modeled for us; 2) longstanding nutritional deficiencies. You are only as healthy as your mother was while she was carrying you. If one's mother's diet consisted of Kraft Mac and Cheese, chicken nuggets, french fries, Girl Scout cookies -- well, you get the point, this is what your brain/body used for development as a child. Included in this is whatever you ate. Unless there was a grand awakening, the family didn't eat much differently from how mom ate when pregnant. For some unknown reason, people believe there is a difference between the foods adults eat and the foods children eat. If people continued to give children the foods they gave them labeled " baby food " , children would be eating regular foods. Of course, in many of these families, what is listed below is " regular " food. Restaurants (usually those with mediocre food) offer a children's menu that tends to consist of hot dogs, french fries, chicken nuggets, cheeseburger, mac and cheese, hamburger, peanut butter and jelly, white bread sandwiches like grilled American cheese (always American cheese), with nary a veg in sight. At least Mc's finally caved and stopped including soda in Happy Meals. 3) We live in a country full of endocrine disruptors in our environment and our foods. This affects our thyroids. Unfortunately, conventional medicine only recognizes thyroid and adrenal problems when they are full blown. But they affect us long before they become full blown. The first symptoms appear in our moods. The first two reasons can be significantly changed while the third can be somewhat altered by reducing exposure to environmental toxins. How? I think this would make a good regular topic for a short posting. The first one will follow this post. Regards,
