Guest guest
Thanks Heidi, Over the past few days I've been reading and reading. I'm feeling better than last week but still really tired. I guess you're right, I was feeling a lot worse when I couldn't bend my knees, use my hands, and my jaw was out of commision. I guess the hardest part is accepting and adjusting my life. How long have you been on MTX, have you ever tried any other meds? Heidi Mendelsohn <hmendelsohn@...> wrote: , I take MTX and it took me about 3-4 months to feel better. But I can always expect to feel like crap about 2 -3 days after I take it. The Rhy put me on folic acid but it never really helped the feeling, however I think it actuall has more to do with protecting the liver. I have just learend to plan my days according to the meds. I am sorry I can't give you any better news, but I can tell you I had to go off it once when I had an infection and I really learned how much it does help. So hang in there. Guest guest
, I have been on MTX for about a year. I was om Enbrel as well but it was not doing as much as the Rhummy thought so he is trying to get me on Humra ( Insurance delays !!!) I was diagnosed with Interstitial cystitis ( another auto immune disease) first. It attacked my bladder causing severe abdominal pain. The they diagnosed the Fibro. and when I was not getting better they went to RA. My labs were negative but the MRi found the RA. I take so many meds its hard to say which one helps which. I also take Vicodan for pain.Good day and bad days that is what I say. On the good ones I just rejoice that the pain is not severe. I hope you have a lot of good days and that the MTX works for you. Guest guest
I took vicoden for a few months and it made me a spazoid. I had to quit taking it. What is Enbrel, my mom mentioned it to me and I'm not sure what it is and what the side effects are. This RA is crazy, I had no idea about this disease until I got it. I feel overwhelmed. but I'm learning and I'm getting more optomistic about it. I hope you are having a good day today. thanks for the info:) Heidi Mendelsohn <hmendelsohn@...> wrote: , I have been on MTX for about a year. Guest guest
dordale, I tried that for a couple of months and it didn't make any difference. So he just put me back on the reg folic acid. At this point I take so many meds it hard to remember what works and what doesn't. As I have said before, I keep CVS in business LOL Heidi M On Feb 19, 2008 5:58 PM, laurenrosepeters <laurenrosepeters@...> wrote: > Hi , > I'm I'm 24, I was diagnosed when I was 21.
