Thank you for that link Steph! I am going to go have a

look at it! I know the FMS ribbon is purple as is one

for Lupus. I have the dark blue RA ribbon although

atleast with that illness people usually have a clue

what I am talking about since their are labs and

physical evidence that help support that. Yet with

the FMS I am constantly educating or atleast wearing

something to say " hey its not in my head! " :)

Suz. I think you should persue it. A ribbon for just RA is great and

someone else added an address for t-shirts and stuff. I wish they had

the one that says No I amd not to young to have Arthritis, back when

i was 25 and trying to park in the handicap space with a 3 year old

that it took me all day just to get up the courage to take him on my

own to the grocery store..I got bombarded by senior citizens yelling

in my sons window saying i had no business parking there. And i had

handicap plates not just the hanging tag. OH! well We do have to

educate other people and these things sound like a good place to

start..Thanks, Count me in and let us know...

arthritis... and " hot pink " ... " lime green " for other issues. I still

would like to see awareness of Rheumatoid Arthritis specifically ...

do you think I should pursue that?

I know how that is! I actually was questioned by a

police officer one day when parking in a handicap spot

to make sure the tag was really mine since I looked

very young to him, and just " fine " . Common sense and

compassion should tell people that one is not too

young for arthritis. There are many disabled children

with juvenile RA. My uncle had it as well as polio

and he is completely deformed in the hands and body.

He questioned you because too many people do abuse those handicap

tags. It's a shame..but it does happen regularly.

It is also a lack of P.R. about the disease and how it affects all

ages. Honestly, I get looks from older people in the Rhuemy's office..I'm

only 39. Shame on them, they of all people should know better.
