Guest guest
Hi , Good for you and your husband for continuing to seek solutions to your ED problem. I don't recall having read much about implants here in the last year and a half. I also do not have any personal experience to offer. There has been a lot of discussion about the subject of implants on another online support group. It is not as user friendly as the yahoo groups, but well worth checking out. You first need to search for ustoo.org. Somewhere in the first couple of " hits " will be International Prostate Cancer Education and Support Network. Click on that and one of the options you will find will be Chapters and Support Groups or Online Communities Prostate Pointers. Once you have gotten that far there is a fabulous group called pcaiprostatepointers (DOT) The pcai stands for prostate cancer and intimacy. It is a group of men and women who are diligently working to regain thier best possible post treatment sex life. Many have gone the implant route. The discussions are as frank as any I have seen on the subject, and the group is very responsive. You will not believe the amount of the feedback you will get. Let me know if you have any trouble finding your way and also what you think once you get there. If anybody knows an easier way to tell to get the prostate pointers groups, I would appreciate it. I have a feeling there is a better way, than I have given. Laurel > > My husband had a prostectomy 2 years ago at age 49. Guest guest
, I have just been doing the day’s updates on my Yana site and you may care to read the experience of Rich at http://www.yananow.net/Mentors/R.htm and mail him as he has done some homework on the subject of penile implants and intends having one fitted shortly. Guest guest
:I agree with the post by Laurel. The pcai@... is a great place to reach people who will discuss implants with you. Guys there will discuss different models, the surgery, complications, and what to expect. As an aside, in the past almost 2 years, I have never seen one person on that forum say that the implant was the wrong decision. Of course, that is for you and your husband to discuss. Good luck, To: ProstateCancerSupport From: jruch1@...Date: Fri, 23 May 2008 23:38:48 +0000Subject: questions about penile implants My husband had a prostectomy 2 years ago at age 49.
