Guest guest
i agree dont wait , these knees are supposed to last for 20 - 25 years if you are 58 know that takes you to 83 years to 88 years . i had my first hip replaced at 43 my knee at 50 and my other hip 3 years ago and i am only 59 , im glad i had them done , you have some restrictions with hip replacements and knees there ar only minor restrictions , my wifes cousin had a partial knee replacement, i still dont know exactly what it is . he had this about 5 years ago, doesnt limp and has no restrictions that i know if. if this surgeon refuses i would look for another quality surgeon . get yourself fixed up and enjoy life again savannahhipchick <lfriedman5@...> wrote: Hi Pat, I'm so sorry and I feel your pain. I just had two hips replaced myself at the age of 45. But that was due to OA supposedly. Now I have RA, just really got going since the surgery. About the knees. My advice is don't wait. I waited way too long to fix my hips and regret it. If the knee is really shot, an ortho should be willing to fix it. I've met people much younger than you with knee replacements. So sorry you need yet another surgery. > > After just having a finger fusion and a thumb arthroplasty, I have been told that I now need a > knee replacement.
