Pamela,

Nutrasweet also has carbs. Each packet has 1 gram, the same as for 1 packet

of Splenda. Most people find Splenda to taste more like sugar and it is

heat stable. Nutrasweet (aspartame) is not heat stable.

I think Nutrasweet has carbs, too. Doesn't it? It justhas less than a carb

per packet. We use Splenda because not only does it taste like sugar, it is

heat stable and can be used for baking and cooking! In the granular form it

also provides the bulk you need for baking.

> Why does everyone use splenda instead of nutrasweet?

Pamela,

It's a personal preference... Most don't like to use

Nutrasweet because it is Aspartame... and In My Opinion...

ok, we got that? This is just my opinion... Aspartame is

bad for you... that is my opinion... So, Splenda... is not

Aspartame... and reportedly, there are no side effects.. .I

don't think it's been out long enough to really determine if

that's true or not, and I haven't seen a lot of studies to

back up that it is fine... but, I guess for now, it's better

to use it, than something that we know is a problem...

Aspartame is also reported to inhibit weight loss... and up

your cravings... so that's also another reason why some

people stay away from it... =) HTH! =)

Love and Hugs,

Kelli from Texas =)
