Guest guest
have developed a rash. It started on my hands and has spread. However, it is spread thinly. lol It is red spots. Some of them have a center but some don't. For instance, I have 3 of them on the palm of my right hand with centers but the ones on the back of my hands, are just red dots. They only itch when they first show up. I have 2 of them on my face, the backs of my hands are covered, a few on my tummy, and several on my legs. Anyone have any ideas? I haven't used anything at all new as of course, the first thing I thought of was an allergy. Does anyone know if this could be related in any way to RA? Phyllis I wish I could help, but you sound like my poor daughter. She has a rash that sounds like yours, but she itches extremely bad, basically she looks like she has measles. We have seen a dermatologist and she basically said that it is something that shows more when she gets stressed or anxious real bad. Since she is only 17 that kinda made sence. I forgot exactly what she called it, but she did say that she needs to keep her skin real hydrated and she uses a special soap and nothing that dries her skin up. I don't know if that could be the cause for you. With my allergies, cat and dust, I don't get rashes, just extemely congested. I also have a child that breaks out in hives real bad and she gets it to the point that she cannot walk on the bottom of her feet and they did all kinds of tests and still cannot tell what is causing it, again the docs think it is stress. For some reason that seems the norm for these docs to tell them, Stress causes everything. I know this probably won't help though. Just our experiences with strange rashes so far. **************Ideas to please picky eaters. Watch video on AOL Living. Guest guest
Phyllis, I remember when I was young my mother had to go into the hospital with a rash , like the one you described. They told her it was her " nerves " . About 20 years later she was diagnosed with Lupus. The Rhum told her that the rash was not uncommon for people with Lupus or other auto-immune disorders.I am not sure if it applies here bur it might be the same thing. I know I get mouth ulcers and the Rhu told me it is also a problem with auto-immune. Just one more thing we get to deal with. Oh they did give her a cortisone cream all those years ago that took away the rash. Heidi M On Feb 19, 2008 2:48 PM, Phyllis <mammap@...> wrote: > I have developed a rash.
