diane,

My Rhu took me off the MTX when I got an upper resp infection. I was able

to back on it after the infection was gone. He told me to Always contact him

if I got a resp infect or what even seemed like one. MTX can lead to

increased potential for infection. This may just be my Doc but on the s/e of

MTX it say to always night if you suspect one. Maybe that will help some.

Hi Mandi,

I will do that. I go Tuesday morning. Today is the second week I

won't be taking it. I am still taking the Meloxicam. I am starting

to feel the pain. yuck...

I honestly never felt a lot of relief from the MTX but was too afraid

to really tell him because I was too afraid he would want to put me

on an even more serious medicine. But, I can't take it anymore. I

have no quality of life and I'm putting this toxic medicine in me for

nothing. I guess it just hit me like a ton of bricks. Sorry to be

Debby Downer here, I guess I am just at wits end with the MTX...

Hi Heidi,

Thanks for the help. I called my doctor to see if i should stop the

MTX and he said to continue..that was a few weeks ago. I decided on

my own to stop it. I am still sick with respitory problems...I will

see what he says on Tuesday...I feel so much better off the MTX

except for my arthritis...of course. I think I need a new doctor, I

will decide on Tuesday...lol

thanks,

Dear ,

I needed that. Usually doctors don't intimidate me at all but for

some reason he has this nonchalant attitude like RA is no big deal.

I feel like a wimp complaining too much. But, I am going in there

with both guns blasting :-) and letting him know I can't take this

kind of pain and we need to do something different...
