Guest guest
Carol, I have been on sevral and I mean sevral, and my problem is I have digestive problems and if I don't have a reaction from the med then it has been that the ones I have been on eventually cause so much trouble with that, I get so I have swallowing trouble, very upset stomach, ulcers, and my gastro gets all worked up tells me I need to stop, he has told me he doesn't like any meds taken when someone has the trouble I do, and definitley exspecailly antiinflammitory " s, I am better with taking the pain meds than those if I have to. I don't know if u have tried anything else, but my mom has not been able to use MX either she broke out, and our Rhumo, has put her on something that has done alot for her, as she hated taking the predisone and after a yr convinced the Dr. to let her stop, and though she was afraid of that her severe pain would return, that was a yr ago now, I can call her and ask what it is she is on, as it took a few different Med's to get her to a tolerable level of pain and being able to even walk again. I will get back to you on it as soon as I get a hold of her she is not home, but will find out. Sharon " carol.incognito " <carol.incognito@...> wrote: Sharon, Thanks for responding. I have already stopped the MX, today is the second week I will miss and I go to the DR Tuesday, I guess that is what I'm afraid of. I just have this feeling that there are other meds that work better and are safer but more expensive so because of insurance companies they don't prescribe them, any ideas on that??? diane --- In , sharon studley <seescallop@...> wrote: > > Carol- I think if you have an understanding Dr. he/she as I have a very good she, will understand. Just tell him you think it has stopped working, and being so sick with the this respitory illness you don't feel you should continue on with this med, as it can compromise you getting clear of that illness. MX is a great med, if it works, did not work for me, side effects, but guess it is scary one to. Ask if you can go off it as you are still having pain, and see what else there may be for you. Guest guest
Sharon, Thanks so much for the info. I would appreciate knowing what your Mom is on. Sorry to hear that you have so many problems with the meds. It is sometimes a vicious cycle we live with...if it's not the disease that does us in, it's the meds...it's a no win...
