tumor fever

My husband has stage 4 advanced prostate cancer. He has been

hospitilized since Tuesday with an unknown fever. It peeked at

104.7. They have run all blood work, CT scan and MRI with no

answers. Doctor say's that It could be tumor fever. Any clue's.

None here. Cannot find anything like that in Medline's encyclopedia.

However, Googling the phrase turns up information that indicates that it

is or could be induced by toxins released as tumor cells die.

I recommend seeking a specific answer from the medic. It's his job to

explain.
