Guest guest
The last time I was in the doc said my pain sounded like sciatica pain. My Mom has had problems with her's on and off too but always had back problems too. Guest guest
Sciatica is inflammation of the nerves that exit the end of the spinal cord and run down the legs. It can lead to incontinence and partial loss of control of the toes(hence a foot drop when walking) It commonly occurs due to a slipped disc, but I am trying to figure out if that is the cause of mine or the RA as that makes a difference to me how I handle it. Thanks Where has your RA affected your spine and how? Guest guest
I had read that RA does NOT affect anything but the cervical spine, and that made no sense to me. I hope your sciatica soon resolves--pretty painful!!\\ Joy <jhoorm01@...> wrote: The last time I was in the doc said my pain sounded like sciatica pain. Guest guest
, I have had lower back problems for years (which caused sciatica).I was only diagnosed with RA last year. My rheummy suspected my back was associated with the pain. So a month ago she sent me for x rays and then an MRI. Now I am to see a neuro next week beause of severe arthritis in my upper spine. Not sure if it is RA or osteo. I had already planned to discuss how the RA is associated and I will let you know what he says.
