Guest guest
I am hoping the can come up with something. She IS the guru of the web for RA information. So, I will say " Thank you, " in advance. I'm a long term RA patient, so I've been through a lot with this already. Over the past couple of years I have had cortisone shots in a bunch of my joints, just to get the swelling down so I could move them. Right now I have the choice of Physical Therapy for my right knee or another cortisone shot. I can't really afford the PT right now, it's $35 a visit that I just don't have right now. The last (and only) shot in that knee was last June. I have joint space narrowing in the joint and a bone spur (or as my rheumy called it a spike). So there is no bone on bone going on, just the normal RA stuff. Lots of swelling, pain, and stiffness, did I say Pain? I know that you don't want to do cortisone shots often or repeatedly, but how often can you have them? Add to the knee, just a in general nasty flare up.
