Guest guest
hi I think the " No new knees for younger folks " is considered out of date ! My sister in law has lifelong JRA...and had bilateral total knee replacements last year at age 43 years old ! She chose to have both knees replaced at once in order to have 1-only one surgery , 2-only one recovery/rehab period and 3-only one leave of absence from work. She was four days in the hospital...then five days at rehab because she lives alone She did very well and returned to work 10 weeks after surgery...AND she is a physical therapy assistant... up and down off the floor all day...working with severely handicapped children...and has had no problems bending, kneeling, etc Best of luck nancy
