Guest guest
Hi, I have RA and my eyes are quite dry. I didn't realize what was happening. Though my eyes were dry they were watering terribly. I got chapped cheeks from all the tears my eyes shed to water my dry eyes. I started using eye drops but regular saline drops were not enough. Now I use drops with mineral oil and other emollients in them and that really helps. If I use them regularly my eyes don't tear up all the time. I spoke with my eye doctor recently about my concern about RA and going blind. She said it usually occurred due to infection and the best way to prevent that was to keep my eyes from getting too dry by using my eye drops regularly. She gave me a sample. Now all I have to do is make myself use them. Blessings, Elaine --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Make your homepage. Guest guest
At night I use an over the counter (OTC) eye gel made by Genteal. For me it is great, it's not thick or gunky and it feels cool when going in the eye. Only as with most eye gels it blurs the vision so becareful after you put it in!
