Guest guest
, When I started to go to my PCP she is in a group called Valley Medical group, they have a hosp they work out of. I really liked her so when I needed a specialist I went with her recommendation and it was usually some MD that was affiliated with the group. That may be one way. another is to ask the group. See if anyone lives in your area and who they use. Heidi M On Sat, Feb 23, 2008 at 9:36 AM, <ltdavis_jrdavis@...> wrote: > Thank you for your help! At this point, anything is of help! Guest guest
Well, unfortunately, I can not go that route because my last RA docter prescribed the same med within a 2 yr period in which I had a SEVERE reaction. To be blunt, he discharged me as soon as he found out what he had done. Funny thing, I didn't blame him - docs see sooooo many people and things happen. He did refer me to a teaching hospital but the lady I saw had absolutely NO compassion, she didn't listen to anything I tried to tell her - which I finally gave up trying and just waited on getting the heck out of there. I have never seen a doctor that I didn't like until her. Maybe she was having a bad day or going thru PMS! Who knows! So, it leaves me with no doctor at the moment. That is why I have to do the most research that I can and as quickly as I can. You know, I was diagnosed in 2002 and with the changing of insurances, I saw 3 different PCP's and then of course my last RA doctor, who all diagnosed me with RA thru bloodtests as well as physical examines. The lady I just saw told me I didn't have RA and proceeded to direct me to clinical trials for OTHER disorders - even some sleep clinic! I have trouble sleeping because of pain - I don't have a disorder! Anyway, I got over my " maddness " over the situation and am now taking charge of my own health. Thank you though for your post and I want to thank the others that have responded so far with the various websites to check out if I failed to thank each of you individually! I just had surgery so I am a bit loopy!!
