Guest guest
Carol- I think if you have an understanding Dr. he/she as I have a very good she, will understand. Just tell him you think it has stopped working, and being so sick with the this respitory illness you don't feel you should continue on with this med, as it can compromise you getting clear of that illness. MX is a great med, if it works, did not work for me, side effects, but guess it is scary one to. Ask if you can go off it as you are still having pain, and see what else there may be for you. (started with 2 and worked up)...I don't think it has worked for me because with any kind of activity I am in horrible pain. If I just sit and do nothing I guess I would say it works. I also take Meloxicam. To make a long story short, I have been sick with some kind of bronchitis, lung infection since New years eve...2 rounds of antibiotics, 3 inhalers, breathing treatments, etc etc...still wasn't feeling well. Last SAT I was to take my Pills, I didn't take them and I am not taking them today...SAT...I have an appointment with my Rheumatologist on Tuesday, I want to do something different. I want off the methotrexate...any suggestions on how to approach him. I'm afraid he is going to get upset.... Thanks for any help... diane
Guest guest
Sharon, Thanks for responding. I have already stopped the MX, today is the second week I will miss and I go to the DR Tuesday, I guess that is what I'm afraid of. I just have this feeling that there are other meds that work better and are safer but more expensive so because of insurance companies they don't prescribe them, any ideas on that??? diane --- In , sharon studley <seescallop@...> wrote: > > Carol- I think if you have an understanding Dr. he/she as I have a very good she, will understand.
