Guest guest
, A good Dr is one that will spend time with you, he will ask you questions that will tell him what is going on but, The one thing you need to do is be able to tell your story, i.e... I have had pain here there and where ever for x amount of years, I have been on this drug, basically let him know what is going on and why you are there. He should do a complete physical of your joints to inspect for damage and pain. If he is not willing to spend time with you then you need another Dr. Thats just my opinion. Hope it helps some. Guest guest
Your advice was very helpful but my other question is how does one go about finding a respectable doctor without going thru 10, 20, or more? Is there some kind of website that can direct a person? A person is kind of flying blind withouth some kind of direction. Thank you so much for responding with your wise advice! Guest guest
, I googled and found the American College of Rheumatology members for Columbia, SC. Of course it doesn't tell you much about them, but I don't know how you're going to find that out except by trying one out. Here is the URL: http://www.rheumatology.org/directory/ city.asp?hCountry=USA & city=Columbia & cbxPediatric= & cbxPatientCare= & state= SC Sue On Friday, February 22, 2008, at 10:14 PM, wrote: > Your advice was very helpful but my other question is how does one go > about finding a respectable doctor without going thru 10, 20, or more? > Is there some kind of website that can direct a person? Guest guest
Thank you for your help! At this point, anything is of help! I realize it's not going to be an easy task but if I can do some sort of research, then I am at least one step ahead from where I started! Thanks again! D.
