Guest guest
I thought I would let the group know about my first visist after waiting six weeks to see a rheumatologist. He was not warm & fuzzy but very techie and seems to know what he is doing I hope. Did more blood work...told me LabCorp blood work is sometimes invalid on certain tests because it sits 3-4 hrs or even overnight to Raleigh for processing. More blood work at his office...ordered PT 4 wks...even approved by ins...told me I have bursitis in hips which is causing knee pain...and put me on Difclonex until I see him again in two wks and he will have more answers. I just don't know if I believe pain in knees is from hips. I am back at work and making it barely. Yesterday was going okay until I had to spend about 15 mins. outdoors..it was raining..35 degrees...bone chilling. Within one hour I had to come home at 5pm and go to bed for 3 hrs. with major pain in my knees that were ice cold for two hours. Now I am getting that eczema again I had in Jan. but this time on my upper back. Can this be related? Disappointed I don't have definitive answers yet but looking forward to PT and my regular gentle yoga class on Monday...at least this doc is a big fan of yoga. Thanks for listening.Betts in VA
