I would find out the office policy for filling out any paperwork. Such as

private disability insurance or work restrictions. Some doctors do NO

paper-work and other charge you per the sheet. Others have a medical assist

fill it

out.

this is good know ahead of time. Just from my own personal

experience....having had my long term disability terminated because a doc I had

been seeing

refused to fill out any paperwork that is not a federal program...such as SSDI

which he is required to fill out by law or face a big fine...and worst case

scenerio have his medicare privilages removed.

Good luck

Toni

Thanks Toni and Heidi...

I have waited so long..I can't tell you how excited I am to see a

rheumatologist tomorrow...I just hope he has been worth waiting for

and can give me some relief. I did go to Gentle Yoga today after

working all day...didn't think I would make it through work much less

yoga but I did..and feel better most places except my knees...they

are burning so much and hurt so bad...sometimes I don't know whether

to put ice packs or heat on them. This weekend was such a struggle.

I am making a list of questions for him and have read a great book

" Living with Rheumatoid Arthritis " by

Tammi Shlotzhauer, md and McGuire, MD...

it's a s Hopkins press health book I got at & Noble...

It answers a lot of questions for me being a newbie.

I'll let you know how it goes after my visit.

Thanks again..I have learned so much just by reading the postings.

I don't feel so alone anymore.
