Guest guest
Hi All, Just got from back the NH. My mom is doing very poorly right now. She has pretty much stopped eating, has had one fever after the next, one UTI after the other and possibly has pneumonia now. I very much got the sense that we are coming to the end but I can’t say for sure because mom has bounced back before. Its going to be very hard to lose her but she has been suffering for years now. I hate LBD with a passion. Courage

Guest guest
God Bless, Send prayers for best outcome for your Mom and Peace to you both.  Jeff When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place. This was the first time that I actually thought that she is nearing the very end. Again, she may rally and surprise us again but her body is clearly showing the signs now. >Courage > >From: twomido@... >Sent: Thursday, February 09, 2012 10:49 PM >To: LBDcaregivers >Subject: Re: Mom is doing very poorly. > >Dear Courage, > >So sorry to hear and I hate this too. Guest guest
Just coming home for a quick shower and I hope you all don’t mind that I’m going to use this one post to reply to you all. I want to thank you all for your wonderful support. Mom had a really hard day of more suffering, laboured breathing and vomiting. She is now resting just a bit better now that they have been giving her morphine shots but the end is coming soon. I have said all I needed to say to her, thanks her for being my mom and told her that she can let herself go when she is ready. Lots of tears then and now. I don’t know what tomorrow will bring but I will try to update you all. Thanks so much everyone for your support – it means a lot to me and to mom. Dear Courage, Your mother seemed to be into the final stages when I joined here years ago. I can't believe how long she has fought this beast, have thought of her often through the years. Caring for her has been so ingrained in you it will be very difficult to let go. You and she may well deserve the award for longest suffering from LBD. I'm very sorry for what you and she continue to go through but you well know that once she has won the final battle she will be at peace and comfortable. I send you strength as you have to so many of us here and accolades for a loving job well done on her behalf. > > Hi All, > Just got from back the NH. My mom is doing very poorly right now. Guest guest
I am so sorry you have had to go through all of this. My heart breaks for you as well. My mother passed this last Tuesday . It was a peaceful end to a horrific disease . I still grieve the person she was but I am so happy the person she became is gone. My prayers are with you.
