Guest guest
Vickie - I was on Plaquenil for several years and ended up with vision problems - they diagnosed Plaquenil toxicity and I was taken off it. I think that Plaquenil is known to cause eye problems so it's recommended that you be followed by an ophthalmologist on a regular basis. Just wanted to be sure you were aware of this since you mentioned prior vision problems. I am currently taking Tylenol as needed and Plaquenil 2-200Mg tablets per day. I am in the process of being weaned off prednisone. For a while I was taking Methotrexate, which really affected my vision. I am fortunate to have a spa, which gives some temporary relief. Most people tell me once the meds are correct they deal with only occasional pain. Do you know this to be true? Guest guest
Dawn, I love telling people that. You are right they don't lie. With my step kids (I took them to get their shots so the court wouldn't bring it up...scare tactic...) Anyway I had to sign more crap about knowing the side effects of the shots than if I didn't get them shot up at all. I try to tell my friends to look at it. ________________________________ From: Dawn <dawndanc@...> Vaccinations Sent: Tuesday, August 18, 2009 3:45:04 PM Subject: Re: looking for some advice  , start by reading the package inserts. When you find something very disturbing - show him!! Print it and highlight it. Vaccine manufacturers don't lie! You will find that often, babies are required to receive the same dose as a fully grown adult (under dosage instructions) . Every vaccine carries the warning that they do not know if they cause cancer, alter your DNA or impair your fertility because studies have not been done. This warning has been on them for YEARS. Just read the package inserts. I'm sure your mouth will fall open and so will your husband's. A lot of information on the same page contradicts itself. For example, on one hand, they say studies were performed on infants 6 weeks or older. However, if premature, go by their birth date?! Okay...what if they were 3 months early?? http://vaers. hhs.gov/pdf/ PackageInserts. pdf (click on right-hand column to bring up each one) My blog, along with this group has a lot of info.....http: //vaccinesexpose d.blogspot. com What really convinced my Marine hubby was showing him that a .5 ml dose was a one-size fits all. That made him sick. At 250 lbs. he would get the same dose as our brand new baby. Dawn > > Hey all, > > Neither my 2 year old daughter or 4 1/2 month old daughter have had any vaccines, and I intend to keep it that way. My husband thinks there is nothing wrong with vaccinating because " everyone he knows does it, and is fine " . However, he has told me he would like to know more about the topic, mainly disease risk vs vaccine risk. He is a numbers guy, so he likes to see statistics. The problem is, every time I show him info, he says that I am only showing him why you SHOULDN'T vaccinate, to which I respond, " that's because I don't believe there are any benefits to vaccinating " . Obviously, he does feel somewhat uncomftorable with vaccinating because he does not push the issue, but he doesn't really want to discuss it much either. I really want him on my side with this, and would really like to convince him that vaccines are dangerous. > My 4 1/2 month old has an arachnoid cyst on her brain which they discovered while I was pregnant. They actually thought she had dandy-walker syndrome and put us through a lot of unnecessary worrying. Well, I called her neurologist today to get his opinion on vaccinating because I figure he must see a lot of autistic children. My husband also respects him, and said he would be interested in what he has to say. I am praying that he tells me what I want to hear, but am not betting on it. My husband also thinks dr.'s would never do anything to endanger a child's health, and feels we should listen to them more often than not. I do not feel that way, and mostly do not trust them. In fact, I do not plan to take my baby to any more well baby check ups, because I feel they are unnecessary, and am tired of getting the vaccine lecture. Last time I was there, I felt like I was going to have a panic attack because of this conversation: Dr.: " These are the shots Brooklyn will be getting today " (she names them off) Me: I don't plan to vaccinate, espcially with being on medication that is lowering her immune system " Dr.: Well, a little protection is better than none....in fact, let me go see what my colleagues have to say... " she comes back in the room, and says this: " Yup, they agree with me, so this is what she's going to get today " , and, she goes on to tell me what shots and what to expect (fever, redness, etc.). Well, in my head, i am panicing, because I feel like I need to get out of this situation quick, and I always feel so intimidated by dr.'s.(ugh!) I tell her I have to talk to my husband before I make a decision like that. She says " well, can you call him, because I am really worried that if she were to get a fever at this age, she would need all kinds of testing, including kidneys and a spinal tap " . (basically, trying to scare me!) > I tell her no, that he is working and doesn't answer at work. I then tell her that I will call and make an appt if I change my mind...of course never planning to. She leaves the room without saying goodbye and goes onto her next appt. I leave relieved, but also do not feel comftorable going to any more of these " well baby " visits. They never did that back in the day, and I feel like it is just one more way to control parents and take your money. > Well, that was a little longer than I anticipated writing...I guess what I would like to know is where I can find some good statistics on disease risk vs vaccine risk. Thanks in advance! (The last part was just me venting... > > ~ (VA) >

Guest guest
Dr Sear's book was the first I read too and it convinced me to delay and read more and now I wont vaccinate. The two hour video shared recently was also enough to convince my sister to stop vaccinating and before that she feared if she did not vax and something happened she would not be able to live with herself. ________________________________ From: yvomo_yvonne <yvomo@...> Vaccinations Sent: Sunday, August 16, 2009 8:05:05 AM Subject: Re: looking for some advice Have you tried Dr. Sear's book on vaccinating? He is pro-vax but all the numbers and reasons he gives for vaxing is not convincing at all. In fact, all the reasons he gives for not vaxing makes sense. Read it first and pass it to your husband if you think he can read in between the lines. I know that was the book that made me change from spacing out the vax to not vaccinating at all. I think it really helped me that he was pro-vax. I felt a little bit like your husband before, not knowing if I trust the sources or thinking the sources was bias. > > Neither my 2 year old daughter or 4 1/2 month old daughter > > have had any vaccines, and I intend to keep it that way.
