Guest guest
Hi Christa, I am in Ohio and it has been pretty humid. I have been taking MTX for about a month. I have noticed that I am kind of groggy for a couple of days after my once weekly dose.  ~Connie From: loveyouhun <loveyouhun@...> Subject: [ ] Hi I'm new to the Group Date: Wednesday, September 2, 2009, 4:29 AM  Hi, I was diagnosis with RA. Guest guest
Hi...been taking MTX for a year, side effects are generally fatigue day after taking the medication. I was taking the oral version to start then switched to the injections. I found the injections to be much more effective with less side effects. It's something I would definitely look into if you are having any issues with the oral. I'm currently looking into staying somewhere in Nevada for three to four weeks to determine if the lower humidity will improve my condition with RA. I used to live in Tucson and really like it but my girlfriend refuses to move that far away from Washington state. It seems to me women always get what they want, but then I've been a " guy " my whole life! Guest guest
Ann,  It is a good place to be. I used to live in NJ but move to Arizona in 1990 and I love it here. I wouldn't move back to NJ. Like you said the cold, dampness, and rain.  My Dad had arthritis too and so does my older brother. I did take Penicillin but it upset my stomach. I been taking Methotrexate for oh gosh several months now. Seem to work. But I'm really concern about the damage to my liver, kidney, spleen etc. I have to get a blood test every few months to make sure they are OK. I hope this will work.                                                                                    \             Christa

Guest guest
Welcome Christa, I take the mtx injectable, and I have no side effects. I use to, when I was on the oral mtx. If your having problems with the side effects, talk to your doctor about starting injections. I'm glad the meds working for you. I hear AZ is a great place to be, when living with RA. I live in OK, we have a lot of humidity, and it sucks. Take care, Tawny > > Hi, > I was diagnosis with RA. I'm currently taking Methotrexate for it. It's seem to be helping me.
